About

Building AI systems that understand.

CitronLab was created within Thankz to focus on the kind of AI work we have been building for years: systems that understand people, data, workflows, and context.

Our roots go back to relationship intelligence. Before AI became a boardroom obsession, we were building systems that helped organizations connect the right people, create meaningful introductions, and make professional networks more useful. That work taught us something important: useful AI is not about novelty. It is about context.

A good AI system has to understand who is involved, what they are trying to do, what data matters, what rules apply, what permissions exist, and what output someone can actually use.

That belief still drives the work today.

From relationship intelligence to business systems

One philosophy, applied across very different products.

CitronLab now builds AI systems across operations, document compliance, private knowledge systems, health and habit tracking, personal memory, relationship intelligence, and bespoke client workflows. Some systems are internal. Some are customer-facing products. Some are built around a client's proprietary methodology.

Across all of them, the philosophy is the same: AI should make complex information easier to use without stripping away the judgment, privacy, and control that matter. CitronLab exists to build that kind of AI.

Production, not demos

Built for production, not demos.

We are interested in AI that works inside real businesses: with real data, real users, real constraints, real permissions, and real outputs. That means thinking beyond the prompt. It means understanding the workflow, protecting the logic, designing the interface, connecting the systems, logging what happens, and making sure the result is something a team can actually use.

People

The team behind the work.

CitronLab is led by two co-founders, backed by the broader Thankz team — a distributed group of builders, operators, designers, and engineers experienced in remote collaboration and practical product delivery.

Leo Gestetner
CO-FOUNDER · CEO

Leo Gestetner

Leo is a founder, entrepreneur, and operator with decades of experience building remote teams, software businesses, and practical systems. He brings the business and operator perspective to CitronLab: AI should solve real problems, fit into real workflows, and create leverage without adding unnecessary complexity.

Leo's work has always centered on the practical side of building: understanding the business, shaping the product, finding the workflow that matters, and turning ideas into something people can use.

Nick Brandt
CO-FOUNDER · CTO

Nick Brandt

Nick is a technology leader focused on AI systems, product engineering, workflow automation, retrieval, data architecture, and practical software delivery. He leads the technical direction behind many of the systems that inform CitronLab's work.

Nick's work includes context-aware systems, RAG, temporal memory, AI workflows, data extraction, automation, and production software architecture.

Let's talk

Have a system you want AI to understand?

Whether it's an internal workflow, a knowledge problem, a customer-facing product, or something you can't quite categorize yet — let's talk about what it could become.
